CHANAKA FERNANDO, CHEF

I care about my clients, and I enjoy the challenge of meeting their expectations. It’s my responsibility to meet their needs and to deliver the best of the best. As more people are health conscious these days, my clients are looking for healthy meals with fresh ingredients no matter what time of the day. Classic dishes can be tweaked, and I can introduce creative ideas to design specialist dishes.

Vincenzo Restivo

Originally from the sun-soaked Sicilian seaside, where food is our passion, I first arrived in London in 2013.

I arrived thinking to stay only for a few-day holidays, but the city stole my heart and I started looking for work opportunities in the London catering industry. Coming from a catering background – having worked as a chef in Sicily and Toscany before – I soon got a job with D & D group. I got to know Chanaka when we both worked in D&D’s Chophouse. His passion and professionalism always inspired me.

Couple of years fast forward our paths’ crossed again, when I started working in Buddha Bar London Knightsbridge in 2017. After a couple of years, with dedication and hard work I was offered the Head Chef position in Buddha Bar. For many years both of us had a dream and ambition to open our own business one day. We often had conversations about this.

VINCENZO RESTIVO, CHEF

"My main area of expertise is traditional Thai cousine, I have passion for pastries and of course growing up in Sicily my family instilled the love of Italian food in me. I also love experimenting with spices and textures".
